#15

busy busy weekend.

saturday:
met up with ruiyuan, sirong and khengming for some island wide treasure hunt. the event turned out to be quite gay. we had to like travel to the locations that were asked to and solve mcq questions... i would rather they up the challenge by adding challenges at each location, it's like, they have more then enough man-power for that.. thus, wasted like most of my saturday... the event lasted from 9-5pm... wasted wasted wasted.

i later rushed down to suntec for the Anime Festival Asia (AFA). as i had to make my way to suntec all the way from boon lay, i only managed to reach the event hall at around 6pm. which also ment that the sun was setting... (bad lighting) didn't really managed to take much as most of the cosplayers have already left the venue.

bought the weekend ticket for the event which was like... $25. i must the booths were better then the previous year's, it's a surprise that otaku house didn't go.. however there was the MMK maid cafe. didn't go in though, the food was too ex. =x the booth area were much smaller then the last as they had segregated part of the hall for the concert area.

i then went for the anisong concert at 6+, 7. it was a yay yay event. xD shokotan started of the show, followed by hatsune miku and ichiro mizuki. shokotan then did an encore with ichiro. the concert ended about 9.20pm. i was almost fully dead, have been almost on my feet for more then 12hours non-stop. did managed to meet shiro-kun as he didn't go for the concert as he didn't want to watch from afar. lol. by the time i reached home, it was around 11+pm. and not surprisingly, sgcafe was down shortly after. seemed like a thrend that sgcafe would crash after any major event. =x gambatte-neh!

sunday:
i almost overslept. i woke up to my alarm at 9am, but i fell asleep again. x.x woke up at 12+ and rushed down to suntec to catch the K-ON! seiyuus live in action. shiro-kun was even lucky enough to win their autograph. *envy envy*. Yui's seiyuu was kawaii! although shiro prefers Ritsu's. well, different people have different tastes no?

oh ya, forgot to mention about the sword frenzy thing. guess i shall talk more about the booths. apart from the MMK cafe there was also a booth selling wooden sword replicas from animes like bleach and naruto, on day 1 when i asked, they were selling for $40 each, however by day 2 the remaining swords were going for only $10. the sword left was Urahara Kisuke's Benihime (crimson princess). not really sure why not many people wanted that, i wouldn't have minded getting that, as i think it's a really beauty. but i guess people would rather go for Ichigo's bankai Zangetsu and Rukia's Sode no Shirayuki. the store was a sell out, they managed to sell every single sword they brought in. which was like.. a mountain of it. i think only the gloomy bear stall at the singapore toys games and comics convention could beat them, as they went on to sell their stall's wallpaper to visitors.

there was also the takashimaya stall which sold anime character pillow cases. so i guess if you bought one, you could like be with your beloved anime character when you sleep... they also sold domo-kun products like t-shirts and soft toys, there was also this domo-kun soft toy that was almost as tall as an actually person.. x.x another stall worth mentioning would be the eneloop batteries stall, they sold this uber cute battery power tester which was in a shape of a dog, the light on the nose would indicate the battery's power, i pitty that i didn't buy it. oh they also sold ice milk tea cans with evangelion prints at $2 each. they looked like they had alot of leftovers though.... how could an anime festival be complete without an anime karaoke booth? yeap, there was a booth to let people sing their favourite anime songs. i even chanced upon seeing the MMK girls signing. <3

ok, back to what i did on sunday.. more cosplay phototaking. the 50mm 1.8 lens were really awesome at taking portrait shots, however, i was unable to do group shots as it did not have the correct distance. if i backed out too much, i would be blocked by the other photographers.. and yeap there were alot of people there trying to take photos of the cosplayers as well. so more standing, squatting, kneeling. didn't manage to take shizu-sama for both days though, saded. i then finally got to meet up with shiro-kun, who was busy taking photos of his cosplaying friends, so i left him alone and went on to take more photos.

didn't really mange to sit down till 6pm. my legs were screaming murder. i then sat down with shiro who then showed me his K-ON! autograph and also though me how to set my exposure and stuff. Thank you very much! =D

i was too tired to go watch the anisong concert that day, although it was May'n performing, i felt that i didn't have enough energy to get "high" to watch it, so i just sat at the level 3 foyer with shiro till like 7+ pm before going to dinner together with his friends. had dinner at just acia, the queue to the freeflow drink was insane. food was not bad though, value for money. =] we then left suntec at around 9.30pm. shag die. have yet to edit and post my photos onto sgcafe.

mondayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy:
hahaha, i finally got to today. eugene woke me at 1pm asking me to go watch 2012 at jurong point later at night. looks like i won't be uploading my photos onto sgcafe anytime soon. =x shyt, this is not good. haha. my legs are still sore though. lucky it's just movie, i'd die if they asked me to go shopping. wonder how shiro is doing in camp. haha, he must be like uber tired too.

shall update the post later, if i still have enough energy after the movie. and maybe, hopefully post some pictures of the weekend afa event. =]

till then, let me rest my legs. typing so much, now my fingers are sore too. x.x *dies* lol
