it's the end of the month. already.
i must say time sure flies when you have lots of deadlines to meet. it sure moved as slowly as possible when i was in the army..
went to orchard with poh at evening to help him pick a gift for his girlfriend. walked like the whole of orchard, and my legs were killing me, haven't really recovered from yesterday.

being the end of the month means that my assignment deadline is like freaking close already. and i haven't started it yet. omg. help.

and ingrid, i still do not know what you are thinking by quitting school. seriously.

as usual, didn't do much on weekdays.

but, went for my first photography club meeting on thursday though, they had their AGM at settlers' smu. quite a cool place i must say, food was awesome but it sure took it's time. then headed to timbre substation after that. first time there, still prefer old school though. =x

went to funan after class on friday in hoping to get new camera equipment. still dissappointed that i wasn't able to find my 17-50 f2.8 lens. camera grip was like also out of stock. got a camera flash in the end. canon speedlight 530exII. my pocket got burnt after that.

SATURDAY is SOYB day! lol. went with shiro to the start of year cosplay event at ngee ann poly. reached at about 1+. the weather is insanely hot. i must say, although the turnout of cosplayers and photographers are not as much as the other events (e.g afa, stgcc, cf, cf, eoy) the location was awesome, lots of space for people to shoot. i don't really fancy crowded places. and naturally, as there were not as many cosplayers, i didn't take much photos too. went with shiro to shoot his friends at the business block nearing the end of the event. must really thank them, as i'm like superbly noob at this. still have like lots of improvement to do.

dinner was at the foodpark near my place with shiro and his cosplay friends, and the day ended with ice cream at daily scoop! =D
just finished on my ob individual skill builder. kinda a pain, having to edit from a pdf file. however found a online free pdf editor:

went to orchard with shiun just now to accompany him with his last minute shopping. he wanted to get some shirt that had a LED thingy, but sadly the store wasn't open. so we decided to go plaza sing to catch a movie.
watched legion. i must say, it was quite disappointing. i think that lately, movies with awesome trailers have all turned out disappointing. like daybreakers. i don't know why but people in the cinema were laughing most of the time while watching the legion... and the ending climax is also very anti-climax.
will be sending off shiun at the airport tomorrow. =x

i spend most of my weekdays studying in school, super happening right?
friday night was different though, rushed down to sirong's place after class for their ORD bbq. kinda managed to reach there only at around 8+. where, sirong, ruiyuan, shiro, shiun, andrew and zhihao were already there. the fried rice was indeed awesome stuff.
we then sat around and chit chatted about army life and even made a call to CPT Chiok, who was like... still in camp at 9pm.
we were later joined by one of their other batch mates who i've never seen before. and took pictures before andrew and zhihao left.
shiro has the ability to turn darkness into day. omg. my digi cam died.
shiun will be leaving for NZ this sunday, and andrew to perth on feb8. so this was like kinda an ORD/get together/farewell BBQ. will be meeting again on sunday to send shiun off though. =]

friday was a partial lunar eclipse day.

and since science centre was holding an event there, i went down to join in the fun. to my surprise there was actually quite a good turn out, being that it was only a partial eclipse where about only 30% of the sun would be covered.

we were however greeted by cloudy skies, and were told that unless the clouds clear soon, we would miss the eclipse. this was then followed by a passing shower, which lead to most people leaving. i too, almost gave up hope and left, but when i saw people going back outside, i decided to try looking up at the sky for one more time. and true enough, there it was, for a short 10 seconds or so before hiding behind the clouds again.

as one can see, the number of people left behind had been greatly reduced. and i think that our patience paid off. we then all waited around, hoping that the sky would clear again. and to our luck, it finally did. although it was like covered at only a small angle, everyone was superbly excited and awed at the sight.

somehow managed to take a few photos of it using my kits lens, which compared to the others using higher end lens looked noobish. (the sun is in the middle of the picture in case you can't see it.)

i later went to meet my cousin at bugis to eat dinner and watch the movie "daybreakers", i should say, it's good, but not awesome. it's a movie where vampires act like normal vampire who burn in sunlight, and not glitter in them. (if you know what i mean.) and i think it can be like a continuation from the twilight saga, where everyone goes gaga over being a vampire and eventually almost everyone becomes one, and humans become the endangered species. but unlike twilight, something went wrong, and you burn in the sunlight.

i finally finished watching Code Geass and Code Geass R2.

and now i know why it's one of the best animes around. the ending for Code Geass season 1 was kinda a let down but R2 was simply awesome, from the beginning to the end. and the ending was like freaking sad la.

i strongly recommend anyone who has time to cram in 50 episodes of anime to watch this! and i seriously don't mind watching it again. and i want a cheese-kun!

it's a to die for. lol

oh and, i will only need to go for class on monday for this week, as the rest of the days are business computing courses which i'm being exempted from, so yeap, don't really need to go school. but i will still try to go everyday to study in the library. for i doubt i can get anything done at home. xD

and tml's cca fiest at sim! i wonder what cca i should join... mmm...

class tomorrow is till 3 but there will be some director talk at like 7pm... so 4hrs break... wth.

School day2.
school has thus started and i'm like starting to feel the pressure already. yesterday's lesson was still fine, but today's stats and accountancy was just insane. like got wacked with lots of stats formulars in a day, and accountancy just reminded me of my sec 4 days... where no one would really understand the teacher.. i mean he was like... reading from the slides! i could do that myself!
with school starting, it's getting kinda of busy. not much time for animes anymore... which is not good, cause i haven't completed watching code geass R2. i'm like up to episode 6 only.. 19 more to go..
hopefully i'm able to cope slowly cause if not that i think it's GG for me.

school is finally starting tomorrow..
after more than 2 years of hiatus from studying, it actually feels scary going back to school. sure it beats working, but why do i feel this tremendous amount of stress and all? i guess it's probably that this might be my last chance to study and redeem myself from my previous mistakes. then again, would i be able to actually learn from my mistakes or would i go back to what i did back in the past?
another reason could be that after such a long hiatus, books, test, projects, exams would all seem like something new to me. the pressure of being unable to cope is definitely something to be reckoned.
and i guess it would also be like venturing into new grounds, being that i do not know much people there, sure, i did go for the orientation, but i doubt that helped much, for bonds are not simply made in a day. not that this is my first time or anything, but i guess the feeling repeats itself every time, be it first day in primary school, secondary school, poly, army... i'm sure i'll be able to overcome this easily... i hope.
well.. good luck to me!

and i just completed watching code geass season 1, an anime shiro like kept urging me to watch since forever. i must say the ending is kinda disappointing, being that it ended on a cliff hanger, and i would have to watch season 2 to find out more. which i will... eventaully.
